I have been a hopeless wanderer my entire adult life.  Not having traveled as a child (at age 18 I had never been further than Chicago or 'up north'), I have been making up time ever since.

While I was raising my 5 kids, I worked in a variety of fields ranging from Kitchen Design to Real Estate Sales to Computer Training.  Always hoping to combine my love of travel with a means to support myself, I started a travel consulting business in 2008 to help people plan adventures with an element of volunteer service. 

In 2011, I opened a bar/painting lounge (our slogan is Drink Till It Looks Good) and grew it to the point where I could sell it. I found a buyer in August of 2016 and started to envision a life on the road.  

I bought a vintage campervan (1997 Roadtek 190 Popular), got more serious about living a minimalist lifestyle, and took a couple of 3 week road trips to make sure my dreams matched up with reality... I was hooked.  On shorter trips I bring my cat, Walter, with me - he is an amazingly good traveler :)
